This responsive website was created to restore some credibility to Shark Week as fans grew cynical about the factual nature and transparency of Shark Week’s programming. Our goal was to create the ultimate web resource for information about sharks, and we delivered that in spades. Sharkopedia boasts an abundance of knowledge that shark fans of all ages could enjoy. The design draws inspiration from trendy full panel design patterns and is backed by a sturdy CMS to make adding and updating content pleasant and easy. Content from Sharkopedia was also utilized on-air during Shark Week with consistent branding between TV and web.

I worked in close partnership with my team to shape the experience and provided meaningful feedback about design and UX throughout the course of the project. We started the project by defining different types of content and patterns that would delight the audience. Once we built out wireframes of these content types, we started to design and develop in parallel. We continued to refine the design while our development vendor built out the basic layout and set up the custom Wordpress CMS.
